Everything starts to go wrong: July 2025 (then gets corrected) update

I’ve kept this web site in various forms since the 1900s. And always used the www.mikeredwood.com with mi**@*********od.com as my email for messages from it and about it, plus many other things.
Twelve or thirteen years ago while doing social media work with a local colleague I decided to move everything to WordPress and have it managed by Graham Washbrook of Powerhut Net.  He was based in Worthing/Hove on the South East coast of England. As well as introducing me to Graham my colleague had an excellent designer and others knitted into a virtual team. It all worked very well. My colleague retired  and I largely stopped doing social media work but I remained friendly with Graham; and continued to pay him to manage this website.

Our last contact was in mid August 2024 on a routine matter to help me organise G mails. Then he disappeared. His monthly invoices stopped arriving and none of his contacts, phones or socials responded. No one could find him. A search showed that Powerhut had been closed a year ago and he had been working as a sole trader. I knew he had decided not to take on new clients but not that he intended to abandon the scene. But before disappearing he paid for the domain, at least for another year so I have no access to correct certain problems

Towards the end of year the email stream dried up I stopped receiving mi**@*********od.com emails. This had happened once before and been quickly rectified but without Graham I could not do it. Now this was one of those problems I could not fix. To get the site  back involves a legal process I do not want to waste time and money on.

So with the help of a local company in the ancient footwear capital of Somerset the site has been placed on www.mike-redwood.com for now and my email changed to mi**@**********od.com. So business is back to normal. If you have sent an email to mi**@*********od.com and not received a reply please resend to mi**@**********od.com or to mi************@***il.com

I have quite a lot to start putting on the site from the last twelve months and more and work to do to simplify matters. This will likely start in September.

My sincere apologies to anyone who has missed out on an enquiry or not had a reply to a message because of all this. Apparently “abandonment” is quite common in the computer world  nothing has been stolen. Hopefully he is all right and resurface before long  but this has been a messy few months of uncertainty, confusion and change
